Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our dynamic construction and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing operations meet safety standards, code compliance, and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites or during remodeling projects
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts and system designs
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment to assemble plumbing components
- Conduct system inspections to identify issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements with precision
- Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, HVAC technicians, and field service personnel to coordinate project tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a valid license or certification in plumbing
- Strong background in construction plumbing, pipe threading, welding, and schematic reading
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC and general building maintenance
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Experience working on construction sites with familiarity in remodeling, assembly, and heavy lifting tasks
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical diagrams accurately
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus for transporting materials or equipment when needed
