Duties

Install, inspect, and troubleshoot residential electrical systems in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute electrical layouts accurately.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and low voltage testers to complete wiring tasks efficiently.
Perform wiring for lighting, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, and other electrical components in new construction or renovation projects.
Identify and resolve electrical issues on-site by applying industrial electrician experience and knowledge of high voltage and low voltage systems.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, handymen, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and deliver quality results.

Qualifications

Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven residential electrical experience.
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
Hands-on experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician tasks, or commercial electrical work is a plus.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and low voltage testing equipment required.
Strong knowledge of the NEC standards for residential wiring safety and code compliance.
Construction site experience with renovation projects or new builds preferred.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
Additional skills such as schematics interpretation, high voltage handling, or handyman experience are advantageous.
