Job Description: Laborer, pipe/punch crew
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, occasional Saturday, 7 am – 5pm, other hours as required
Travel: From home to job sites, occasional trip to office, yard or supplier
Job Summary: Install pipes, fittings, conduits for underground utilities
Essential Functions: Use hand tools such as shovels, bars, hammers, saws, drills, rollers and tampers as well as other assigned tools used in the installation or repair of underground pipes and structures. Safely install pipes and fittings, the use of chemicals to install pipes and fittings required. Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands on a daily basis: Standing, walking, climb using ladders and stairs, reaching outward, lifting/carrying up to 80 pounds, squatting, crawling, bending, kneeling, fingering and fine manipulation of bolts and screws, reaching above shoulders, ability to wear personal protective equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses and shields, reflective vests, dust masks, seat belts and hearing protection
Other requirements: Read plans and directions, orders or other work related documents and safety warnings, hear audible horns and alarms, have sense of smell and touch
Work environment: outdoors on a daily basis in dry, wet, hot, cold, warm, snowy, muddy, dusty conditions, rough terrain
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
