USPRO Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to support precision metal fabrication operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for laser cutting and press brake equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality components used in advanced manufactured products.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, create, and maintain CNC programs for laser cutting and press brake equipment using both on-machine and offline programming methods.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software to create, edit, and optimize laser nesting layouts and bending programs.
- Program and support CNC manufacturing equipment to maximize efficiency, material utilization, and product quality.
- Set up CNC equipment by retrieving and editing programs, selecting appropriate materials, tooling, gases, and machine parameters.
- Analyze manufacturing requirements and adjust programs to support production schedules and changing priorities.
- Troubleshoot machining, programming, and production issues and implement corrective actions to improve quality and throughput.
- Collaborate closely with production personnel, engineering teams, and manufacturing leadership to ensure program accuracy and process efficiency.
- Verify documentation, checklists, work instructions, and production paperwork for completeness and accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving cycle times, and increasing manufacturing efficiency.
- Ensure proper startup, operation, and shutdown procedures are followed for all assigned equipment.
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards, quality requirements, and established manufacturing procedures.
- Assist with process development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies as required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with Trumpf equipment is a PLUS
- Manufacturing experience in a metal shop and/or machine shop environment
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate CNC controls and CAD programs effectively
- Ability to understand and adapt to production schedules to ensure programs are ready as needed
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in automation, and ERP systems is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop and modify CNC programs for milling machines, lathes, and other machining centers using CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, ensuring adherence to GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards.
- Set up CNC machines by selecting appropriate tooling, fixtures, and parameters to optimize machining processes.
- Conduct toolpath verification and simulation to prevent errors before production runs.
- Perform precision measurements using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments to verify part accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, geometry, or machine operation; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to improve processes through lean manufacturing techniques and efficiency initiatives.
- Maintain detailed documentation of programs, tooling setups, and process parameters for quality control and reproducibility.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during machine operation and programming activities.
Required Qualifications
- Experience programming CNC laser cutting and/or press brake equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a metal fabrication, sheet metal, or machine shop environment.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming principles, machine setup, tooling, and fabrication processes.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate CNC controls and manufacturing software.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and support dynamic production schedules.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience programming and supporting Trumpf laser and press brake equipment.
- Experience with laser nesting software and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with ERP, MRP, or manufacturing management systems.
- Experience with manufacturing automation and process improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments.
