Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician and become a vital part of creating comfortable, safe, and efficient environments for our clients. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, and related mechanical equipment. Your expertise will ensure that each project meets high standards of quality and safety while delivering exceptional service. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to apply your technical skills in construction, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems within a fast-paced field service environment.
Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including ductwork, air conditioning units, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system inspections using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper operation
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) equipment to optimize performance
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to facilitate accurate installations
- Troubleshoot issues related to refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and appliance repairs
- Utilize welding skills when necessary for ductwork fabrication or system modifications
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs performed, and system configurations for each project
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation or service technician roles with a strong mechanical knowledge base
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and schematics reading skills
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration, boiler operation, and property maintenance is highly desirable
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment confidently
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair, welding, plumbing, and appliance maintenance
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; familiarity with driver requirements preferred
- Strong field service skills with the ability to work independently in diverse environments
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to HVAC/R systems and construction sites
