Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across diverse commercial and residential projects. Duties

Lead and supervise HVAC installation teams to ensure timely and accurate system setup according to project specifications and schematics.
Interpret technical drawings, HVAC schematics, and design plans to facilitate precise installations.
Coordinate with project managers, property owners, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems within building frameworks.
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC equipment including refrigeration units, boilers, air conditioning systems, and appliances.
Conduct field service visits for maintenance, repairs, or system upgrades while adhering to safety protocols.
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for mechanical assembly or repairs.
Oversee the use of plumbing connections for HVAC systems involving ammonia refrigeration or other refrigerants.
Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards during all phases of installation and maintenance.
Train junior technicians on proper installation techniques, safety procedures, and equipment handling.
Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including schematics updates and service reports.

Skills

Extensive experience in construction environments with a focus on HVAC installation projects.
Proven service technician experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, or property maintenance.
Strong understanding of HVAC design principles along with the ability to read technical schematics.
Mechanical knowledge encompassing boilers, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), plumbing, and general equipment repair.
Field service expertise with proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters.
Skilled in welding techniques necessary for mechanical assembly or repairs.
Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems and related safety standards.
Ability to operate a driver vehicle safely for transportation between job sites.
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
Familiarity with HVAC system maintenance routines including air conditioning units and boiler systems.
Strong leadership skills to manage installation teams effectively while maintaining high-quality work standards.
