We are seeking experienced, Licensed Electricians to provide leadership and technical expertise for our photovoltaic installation teams. In this position, the licensed electrician will communicate the necessary job status data to the operations management team to ensure the successful operation of complete and working systems. The ideal candidate will also lead efforts for safe working practices for the solar installation team. Willingness to travel for out-of-town projects is always a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Installing and maintaining the electrical equipment and wiring that connects the PV system to the electrical grid
Installation of PV mounting systems and PV modules when necessary
Ensure that all work performed complies with 2020 NEC code and workmanship
Must be knowledgeable and comply with OSHA safety standards for the installation team
Troubleshooting system problems and resolving electrical issues
Train, mentor, and develop apprentices
Install and commission PV batteries
Ability to relocate loads to a back up panels

QUALIFICATIONS

A valid Journeyman Electricians License
Must have a valid driver’s license
Experience installing Solar Edge Energy Storage Systems
Experience with data communications and monitoring systems is preferred
Experience with grid-tied and off-grid battery and/or generator backup systems is a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exercises a high level of professionalism and a positive demeanor
Thrive in a team environment

REQUIRED SKILLS

Working knowledge and ability to interpret and apply 2020 NEC requirements to PV systems
Experience reading and interpreting one-line drawings and electrical schematics
Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential and commercial electrical services and distribution panels
Must be able to work with high voltage systems 600Vdc to 1500Vdc
Must be able to work with services 240Vac, 208Vac, and 480Vac in single and three-phase systems (and other variations)
Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces)
