About us

Our Company is Forever Pergola. We are looking for a highly skilled carpenter to help lead a crew installing high end aluminum, motorized louvered pergolas and High end Composite or Aluminum Decks mostly in the Metro Detroit area: Pontiac, Brighton, Bloomfield Hills, Rochester Hills, Ann Arbor... but also may go to Lansing or Toledo areas occasionally ...

Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, install
- Read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects
- Ensure all work is completed according to the plan, and clean up the jobsite.

Qualifications:

- Have your own reliable transportation and driver's license.
- Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter, rough carpenter or similar role preferably 3 year min. With aluminum flashing experience a must.
- Proficient in using carpentry tools and equipment, and all general forms of construction knowledge is helpful.

Tools will be provided.

- Ability to lift heavy beams overhead.
- Strong knowledge of different carpentry techniques and methods
- Excellent attention to detail and precision is a MUST
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Scaffolding work is required. Some rooftop commercial installations will be seldom but required. (1-3 projects a year)
- Strong problem-solving skills

Note: Experience in siding, electrical work, roofing, gutter assembly are highly desirable. Please include any relevant experience in your application.

High hourly rate to start depending on experience

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
