JOB OVERVIEW
The HVAC Quality Control & Service Technician is a hybrid role responsible for performing quality control inspections on completed installations, handling warranty install jobs, and performing duct cleaning services. This position plays a critical role in protecting our installation standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and allowing our service technicians to stay focused on service calls.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, experienced, and customer-focused technician who takes pride in upholding high standards and enjoys a varied day-to-day workload.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As an HVAC QC & Service Technician, your essential responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform quality control inspections on completed HVAC installations to ensure they meet company and manufacturer standards
- Identify and document deficiencies, coordinate corrections with install teams, and verify resolution
- Complete warranty installation jobs, including component replacements and corrective work on previously installed systems
- Perform residential duct cleaning services to company quality standards
- Communicate inspection findings clearly to install leads, technicians, and management
- Provide constructive feedback to install crews to drive continuous improvement
- Ensure installations and warranty work meet manufacturer specifications, building codes, and Christmas Air standards
- Communicate professionally with homeowners regarding the scope of work performed in their home
- Prepare and protect job sites (drop cloths, floor protection, furniture moving as needed)
- Maintain clean and organized job sites at all times
- Leave each home in better or equal condition than when you arrived
- Operate the company vehicle safely and in compliance with all laws
- Pick up parts, materials, and equipment from distributors as required
- Report issues with tools, vehicles, or equipment immediately
- Work collaboratively with install crews, service technicians, and leadership
- Perform additional duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of residential HVAC experience (installation and/or service)
- Strong understanding of installation best practices and manufacturer specifications
- EPA Universal Certification
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass background and drug screening
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Install Lead or senior installer
- Experience performing warranty work or callbacks
- Duct cleaning experience
- TDLR HVAC License

THE COMPENSATION
$25.00 – $32.00 per hour (based on experience).
WORK LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
Location: Argyle, TX
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST with occasional Saturdays as needed
- Overtime available based on workload
