Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 3rd or 4th year apprentice Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in plumbing, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role involves performing installations and repair s of residential and commercial plumbing systems, with a focus on residential remodeling or new construction. All Journeymen work with an apprentice. The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes and fixtures.
- Perform field service tasks, addressing plumbing issues on-site at various locations.
- Utilize power tools and equipment safely and effectively for plumbing tasks.
- Assemble and install various types of piping systems using appropriate techniques.
- Conduct pipe threading as needed for specific installations.
- Collaborate with carpenters and HVAC technicians to ensure integrated system functionality.
- Handle heavy lifting as required during installations and repairs.
- Participate in remodeling projects that involve plumbing modifications or upgrades.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson Plumber or similar role in the plumbing industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Proficiency in using power tools and equipment relevant to plumbing tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required by the job.
- Experience with remodeling projects is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
- Valid plumbing license or certification as required by local regulations.
