Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our growing team. As a Collision Repair Technician, you'll perform high-quality body and structural repairs on a wide range of vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Must be able to manage the work flow of several vehicles at a time, remove and install various vehicle components and panels. Replace sections of panels with new or used parts. Setup and measure vehicles on a frame machine for hard impacts. Keep track and inspect replacement parts to maintain efficient workflow. Communicate with painter tech on parts needing priority to proceed with repairs. grow within a supportive team. We strive to maintain a happy work environment for the team and for our customers. Duties
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural alignment using advanced tools and techniques.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques to repair sheet metal and structural components.
- Communicate repair time needed, special procedures, and potential issues to consider for purposes of insurance claims and customers paying out of pocket.
- Communicate with different department heads (mechanical or office) and coworkers on required procedures to continue workflow.
- Be willing to receive online training and advancement in knowledge provided by the shop as needed.
- Document repair procedures to ensure due diligence incase repairs are called into question.
- Provide personal tools for doing most work.
- Be willing to work with a close-knit team that value family, honesty, and respect and that is learning every day.
- Work in an open shop that will have background music and loud noises at time.
- Maintain a clean work space with everyone chipping in for normal daily tasks such as taking out the garbage, sweeping and picking up unused materials.
ABILITES / SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
- Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
- Be able to understand instructions – written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Good hand - eye coordination
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work metal to restore
- Must be able to identify high vs. low spots
- Ability to use body filler
- Ability to weld steel and aluminum
REQUIREMENTS
- 1+ years of experience in auto body or collision repair experience
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Nice to have, but not required: Previous collision experience.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality workmanship
- Can prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to superiors and team

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
