In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs for low voltage systems, including data, security, fire alarm, and communication systems. Duties

Review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop precise low voltage system estimates.
Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to negotiate pricing and scope adjustments.
Analyze material costs, labor hours, subcontractor quotes, and equipment needs to create accurate budgets.
Ensure all estimates comply with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and industry best practices.
Assist in the review of contracts and scope documents to identify potential risks or cost-saving opportunities.
Support project management teams during procurement and construction phases by providing cost control insights.

Skills

Proficiency in construction estimating software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC standards, and low voltage infrastructure.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
Solid background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control techniques.
Hands-on electrical or construction site experience that enhances your ability to assess project needs accurately.
Knowledge of contracts, bidding processes, and construction management principles.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
