Electrical Maintenance Technician

Shift: 2nd Shift on a 2-2-3 schedule from 7:00PM – 7:00AM
Compensation: Up to $37 an hour (DOE)
Position Overview:
We’re looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician in Lafayette, IN with strong experience in electrical systems, industrial automation, and troubleshooting. What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose and repair industrial automation equipment, including PLCs, VFDs, and HMIs (Allen Bradley preferred)
- Work with voltages up to 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC
- Install and assemble electrical circuits, control panels, and related components
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime
- Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and process improvements
- Maintain accurate maintenance and performance records
- Assist operators with safe equipment operation and procedures
- Train and support maintenance team members as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- 3–5 years of experience in electrical/electronic maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship in a related field
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial control systems
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams
- Experience using diagnostic tools (multimeter, megger, infrared scanner, etc.)
- Comfortable working at heights and in a manufacturing environment
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
