Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring optimal climate control and mechanical system performance across various properties. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of HVAC systems, including refrigeration, boilers, and air conditioning units. As an HVAC Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex mechanical systems while providing exceptional field service that keeps our clients comfortable and operations running smoothly. Your expertise will help deliver reliable climate solutions that enhance property value and occupant satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and calibration to ensure efficient operation.
- Install new HVAC equipment following detailed schematics and design specifications, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct plumbing and mechanical repairs related to HVAC systems, including pipe fittings, refrigerant handling, and ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to troubleshoot electrical components and perform necessary repairs or modifications.
- Read and interpret HVAC schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and repair activities accurately.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports for accountability and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC system repair and maintenance.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation projects.
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Familiarity with HVAC design principles and ability to read schematics effectively.
- Hands-on experience with field service operations across property maintenance settings.
- Proficiency with testing tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are a plus for equipment repair or fabrication tasks.
- Ability to operate a driver vehicle safely; valid driver’s license required.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) components.
- Experience working with property management teams or in maintenance environments is highly desirable.
