Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial buildings, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues efficiently.
- Work on construction sites performing wiring for new builds or renovations while adhering to NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation within commercial environments.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades such as frame carpentry or handyman services to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections conducted during each project phase.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician practices preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NEC regulations, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and low/high voltage systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices for diagnostics and installation.
- Experience working on construction sites involving renovation projects or new builds within commercial settings.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read complex schematics and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members across various trades such as frame carpentry or handyman work.
