Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure electrical safety, compliance with local codes, and the reliable operation of electrical infrastructure. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools and power tools in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and schematics to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks.
- Perform high-voltage and low-voltage wiring installations on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components for industrial applications.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and electrical safety procedures.
- Use testing equipment such as ohmmeters to verify circuit integrity and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical installations during renovation or new construction projects.
- Follow all safety protocols related to high-voltage electrical wiring and general electrical safety procedures to protect yourself and colleagues.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial environments with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, low voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and schematic diagrams for complex wiring installations.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes is essential.
- Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to use hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing devices like ohmmeters; and specialized equipment for high-voltage work.
- Industrial electrician experience is a plus; commercial electrician experience is equally valued.
- Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems enhances your candidacy.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into precise installations or repairs.
- Previous handyman or frame carpentry experience can be beneficial for versatile project support.
