Overview
Craftsmen Contractors is currently seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter Project Superintendent for the Clinton, Mississippi area. This is for a current commercial project.
Needing someone who can help run a job and land with a great company for the long haul.
Pipe Fitter Superintendent annual salary: $125,000+, depending on experience.
This is a temp-to-permanent position for the right candidate.
Weekly pay by direct deposit.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all pipe fitting activities on construction sites, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications.
- Manage and direct teams of pipe fitters and subcontractors, providing clear instructions and oversight to meet project milestones.
- Review construction drawings, schematics, and technical documents to interpret project requirements accurately.
- Oversee construction schedule coordination using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to ensure timely project delivery.
- Enforce federal construction safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify that piping installations meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project management teams on budgeting, procurement, and resource allocation to optimize project performance.
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and construction management software for documentation, progress tracking, and reporting.
- Review contracts and scope of work documents to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead construction site meetings to communicate progress, address issues promptly, and coordinate schedule adjustments as needed.
- Manage construction site logistics related to pipeline installation projects involving complex schematics or technical drawings.
- Ensure proper use of measurement tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing of piping systems where applicable.
Skills
- Extensive experience managing pipe fitting or plumbing installation projects within the construction sector.
- Proficiency with construction management software, including Primavera P6, ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
- Strong knowledge of federal safety regulations (OSHA) and construction site safety practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and piping schematics accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Skilled in construction scheduling, project coordination, budgeting, and cost control.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes and contract management.
- Experience supervising quality control procedures for piping systems installation.
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools, such as ohmmeters, for system verification.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
