Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead electrical construction crews on commercial, solar, and industrial projects. The Foreman is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising field operations to ensure electrical installations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and applicable electrical codes. This role serves as the primary liaison between the field and project management while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise electrical crews to meet project schedules and production goals.
- Plan, layout, install, and oversee electrical systems according to project drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate daily field operations, including crew assignments, attendance, safety huddles, deliveries, and material management.
- Participate in project meetings, including startup, coordination, progress, and close-out meetings.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports, including timesheets, daily logs, production tracking, and material reports.
- Maintain accurate as-built drawings and project documentation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with general contractors, project managers, and field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
- Mentor and develop crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Serve as the communication link between field operations and the office.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Frequently kneel, bend, stoop, and work overhead.
- Wear required PPE at all times, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, work boots, and company-issued attire.
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions and active construction environments.
- Maintain OSHA 30 certification and required state electrical licenses.
- Comfortable using laptops, tablets, smartphones, and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as a licensed electrician.
- Proven experience leading electrical crews on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical installation practices.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Office 365, and cloud-based project management software.
- Electrical licenses in one or more New England states (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, or VT) are highly preferred.
