The Role
We're looking for a technician who knows transport refrigeration inside and out and can also turn wrenches on trucks and trailers. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain reefer units (primarily Thermo King but some Carrier units as well), plus handle general truck and trailer repair work as needed.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and repair Thermo King and Carrier refrigeration units
- Perform preventive maintenance on reefer units, trucks, and trailers
- Handle electrical diagnostics, EPA 608/609 refrigerant work, and engine repair on reefer units
- General truck and trailer repair: brakes, suspension, lighting, air systems, liftgates, and doors
- Complete accurate work orders and communicate with service writers and customers
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on reefer/transport refrigeration experience (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
- Solid truck and trailer repair skills
- EPA 608/609 certification (or ability to obtain)
- Own tools; strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting ability
- Valid driver's license; CDL a plus but not required
- Thermo King or Carrier factory training a plus
