Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee our electrical manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in low voltage (LV), medium voltage (MV), and high voltage (HV) equipment. You will lead day-to-day manufacturing, ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, and develop frontline talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Direct and monitor daily workflow to meet production schedules and delivery targets.
- Voltage Expertise: Oversee the assembly and testing of low, medium, and high voltage switchgear, transformers, and distribution systems, ensuring all specifications and tolerances are met.
- Quality Control: Conduct and enforce quality assurance testing, insulation resistance testing, and dielectric testing across all voltage classes to eliminate product defects.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce industry safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E) and ensure all technicians utilize appropriate Arc Flash gear and safe work practices.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks, improve production efficiency, and implement Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor production technicians. Lead daily shift briefings and evaluate employee performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the engineering, supply chain, and maintenance teams to ensure parts availability and smooth equipment operation.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Experience: 3–5+ years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, specifically producing LV, MV, and HV electrical equipment.
· Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical distribution, dielectric properties, high-voltage clearances, and standard testing procedures.
· Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
- Certifications: Certifications such as OSHA 30, Six Sigma Green Belt, or journeyman electrical licenses are a plus.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
