Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work effectively in a shipyard setting. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with industry codes and standards.
Responsibilities

Accurately interpret and translate complex blueprints and technical drawings to plan pipe layout and installation sequences within piping systems.

Cut, bend, and thread pipes using various hand and power tools like pipe cutters, bending machines, and threading machines to achieve precise dimensions.

Rip out, repair, target, layout, fabricate, install and test marine piping systems onboard ships in various stages of repair and modernization.

Position and install pipes within designated locations on the ship, ensuring proper alignment and support structures are in place.

Utilize basic math skills to calculate measurements and material requirements accurately.

Collaborate with other trades on site to ensure seamless project execution.
Experience

At least 5+ years experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the shipyard industry is required.

Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on pipeline installation and maintenance.

Familiarity with relevant codes and standards governing piping systems.

Proficient in using hand and power tools necessary for pipe assembly and installation.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
