Summary:
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the installation, repair, preventive maintenance, and operation of facility infrastructure, utilities, and manufacturing equipment. This role is responsible for maintaining building systems, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating vendor services, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, chiller, and utility systems.
- Perform emergency repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
- Monitor facility and manufacturing equipment daily to identify operational issues and recommend improvements.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and work with internal departments to resolve maintenance issues.
- Order, maintain, and manage inventory of spare parts, consumables, and tooling equipment.
- Coordinate maintenance activities with external vendors when necessary.
- Identify operational problems and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Assist in developing and maintaining facility documentation, including blueprints, maintenance plans, permits, and related records.
- Document daily maintenance activities, equipment operation, and repair work.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical certification in one or more relevant mechanical and/or electrical trades preferred.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, facility maintenance, or manufacturing maintenance.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and equipment repair.
- Experience sourcing and purchasing industrial maintenance supplies.
- Experience working in production or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Advanced industrial mechanical maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with Electrical systems, Plumbing systems (boilers, pretreatment systems, stills), Refrigeration systems (ultra-low freezers, walk-in freezers, coolers, rack systems), HVAC systems, Chillers and pump packages and Air compressors and compressed air dryers
- Basic painting, carpentry, and small-scale construction skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Basic understanding of 5S principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Willingness to work overtime, off-shifts, and respond to call-ins as needed.
- Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
