Commercial HVAC Technician
With over 30 years in business, our client is a leader in Commercial Building Service in the Southeast US.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Technician in the Greensboro, NC area. In this role you will:
- Service commercial refrigeration equipment and systems that include walk-in coolers, freezers, small self-contained equipment, reach-ins, etc.
- Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC and/or commercial refrigeration equipment
- Troubleshoots and repairs commercial HVAC, repair & maintenance on refrigeration equipment
- Test lines, components, and connections for leaks
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
- Discuss heating or cooling system malfunctions with users to isolate problems and verify that repairs corrected malfunctions
- Repair or service heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to improve efficiency, such as by changing filters, cleaning condenser and evaporator coils using approved methods and chemicals
- Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, humidistats, or timers
- Communicates with customers regarding status of repair or maintenance being performed or needed on equipment
- Order and install replacement parts as needed
What you need for this position:
- Experience in a commercial HVAC setting, refrigeration equipment, ice machines, HVAC, hot foods, and preventative maintenance a bonus.
- Ability to lift 50lbs, climb a ladder and work in any weather condition
- Universal EPA Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and on-site drug test
- Safely operate and maintain company-provided vehicle
- Be available for after-hours service to customers
- Provide top-quality customer service
- Must provide own tools such as basic hand tools, gauges, and power tools.
- Company Provided Tools include ladders, vacuum pumps, re-claimers, torch and tank for nitrogen, leak detector
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
