Responsibilities
Assist licensed electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems according to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Support the bending of conduit and routing of electrical wiring in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
Help interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to ensure accurate installation of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
Follow all electrical safety procedures, including NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance, to maintain a safe work environment.
Assist with the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems on construction sites.
Maintain a clean work area, organize tools and materials, and adhere strictly to safety protocols during all tasks.
Experience
Previous experience working with industrial or commercial electrical systems is highly preferred.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams is essential.
Hands-on experience with conduit bending, electrical wiring, and installing electrical systems on construction sites is advantageous.
Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards and safety procedures related to electrical work is required.
Experience using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing devices in a construction environment is beneficial.
Construction site experience involving high voltage or low voltage systems will set candidates apart.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and adherence to NEC (National Electrical Code) guidelines is necessary for success in this role.
