Local, Montgomery County, MD, full service, plumbing company is seeking an experienced service technician. Excellent pay and benefits available; health insurance and supplemental insurance. Qualified applicants will be given a take-home, company vehicle. Compensation is hourly, plus benefits and is commensurate with experience. Minimum 5 years experience. Paid vacation, holidays and sick leave (accrued monthly).

- Possess and maintain plumbing/gas licenses and backflow certification
- Continuing education, as necessary, for plumbing and gas license's
- Possess and maintain a valid drivers’ license and clean driving record
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and initial/random drug tests.
- High standard of integrity, professionalism, attention to detail, and pride and quality in workmanship
- Able to work Monday-Friday with occasional evenings and weekends, as needed. This is a service position, the schedule will fluxuate.

- Able to operate a basic smart phone and tablet
- If you are backflow certified, you must be able to test a backflow, fill out the appropriate test report correctly, repair/replace as needed
- The ability to operate all necessary tools and light power tools (we will provide any heavy power tools needed)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Learn appropriate code (plumbing and gas)
- Ability to complete sewer and drain repair and/or clearing
- Water treatment systems
- Water line repairs and re-piping
- Water service mains, repairs/replacements
- Sewer service mains repairs/replacements
- Residential plumbing repairs (faucet/fixture repair and/or replacement, pipe repairs, etc.)
- Ability to make detailed notations regarding the manufacturer, model and serial number of any and all faucets/fixtures and/or equipment/parts that you have worked on or need to order
- Filling out all necessary paperwork on a daily basis; to include service tickets, time sheets, parts/materials order forms, keeping detailed entries up to date on company tablets as required for service customers
- Ensure customer is satisfied with job before, during and upon completion of work performed
- Document time spent on each job; taking pictures on company phone or tablet before and after job is completed
- Water heater troubleshooting and repair and/or Water heater replacement (gas and electric) Residential and small commercial applications
- Boiler troubleshooting and maintenance
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, office, and other employee's
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Working knowledge of all plumbing materials, tools, and equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized and stocked company truck
- Ability to complete other duties as requested by Supervisor.
A copy of current driving record (to be obtained by the applicant) is to be provided upon request. We will conduct a criminal background check and drug test of all new employee's. Please do not apply if you have been convicted of a felony and/or if you use illegal substances. We rotate our emergency/after-hours, on-call weekly throughout the employees in company. We offer 24 hour emergency service after hours and on holiday's.
