About the Role

As a Piping Technician, you will play a critical role in the integrity and efficiency of complex industrial infrastructure. You will utilize your expertise in blueprint interpretation and system assembly to ensure that high-pressure and process piping networks meet rigorous safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

Execute the fabrication and precise installation of diverse process piping systems within industrial and manufacturing settings.
Prepare piping components for welding by ensuring accurate alignment, fit-up, and structural support.
Install essential mechanical hardware, including valves, pumps, boilers, chillers, and cooling towers, to optimize facility operations.
Interpret complex P&IDs, isometric drawings, and project specifications to guide accurate system assembly.
Perform critical repairs and system modifications to maintain operational continuity in production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including welders and maintenance staff, to deliver high-quality mechanical installations.
Uphold strict compliance with ASME, cGMP, and FDA quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain a secure and organized workspace by adhering to all OSHA safety protocols and site-specific requirements.

Qualifications

Required Skills

Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in pipe fitting or related mechanical trades.
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping schematics, and isometric drawings.
Proficiency in fitting and assembling both carbon and stainless steel piping materials.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot complex piping systems.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied industrial environments, including confined spaces.

Preferred Skills

Prior experience within food-grade, pharmaceutical, or high-tech manufacturing facilities.
Familiarity with GTAW (TIG) welding preparation and ASME B31.3 piping standards.
Demonstrated success in executing facility shutdowns and large-scale equipment installations.
