We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical systems within HVAC equipment.
- Conduct equipment troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical systems, refrigeration units, plumbing components, and electrical systems to restore optimal operation.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Diagnose complex issues involving ammonia refrigeration or HVAC/R systems while ensuring compliance with EPA regulations.
- Utilize hand tools such as welders and other mechanical tools to repair or replace faulty components efficiently.
- Support HVAC system installation projects by coordinating with construction teams and ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical issues clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients.
- Adhere to safety protocols including proper handling of refrigerants and use of personal protective equipment during all service activities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, HVAC service technician roles, or property maintenance with a strong mechanical background.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, building automation systems, electrical diagnostics, and refrigeration technology.
- Hands-on experience with HVAC system repair, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC applications and boiler operation is preferred.
- Ability to operate hand tools effectively; welding skills are a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is advantageous.
- EPA certification for handling refrigerants; knowledge of ammonia refrigeration is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in appliance repair or field service roles enhances your candidacy.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments while maintaining safety standards.

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
