This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary power distribution systems, as well as supporting permanent electrical installation work on an active construction site. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced construction environments, values operational excellence and safety, and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
This is an entry-level position designed to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems in mission-critical data center environments. The role emphasizes strict adherence to safety protocols while learning specialized data center electrical standards under the direct guidance of senior team members.
This role will initially support a 6-month data center construction project based in Lordstown, Ohio, with a strong pipeline of follow-on projects nationwide. - Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, and NFPA 70E requirements. Participate in daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and report any hazards immediately.
- Learning & Development: Actively learn data center electrical systems, redundancy concepts (N+1, 2N), and industry standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942). Support testing, commissioning, and documentation activities.
- Team Support: Help with material handling, tool maintenance, and site housekeeping. Assist in maintaining accurate daily logs and as-built documentation.
