Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and fitting metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from structural steel to sheet metal assemblies, ensuring quality workmanship and timely delivery. Responsibilities

Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in compliance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards.
Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal and structural steel using plasma cutters, press brake machines, power tools, and hand tools.
Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math skills to ensure precise fabrication.
Use rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy materials safely on construction sites or within the fabrication shop.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols, including proper handling of gases, welding equipment, and power tools.
Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the fabrication process.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction site environments or fabrication shops involving metal fabrication and welding.
Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding; experience with welding is preferred.
Ability to operate measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication.
Familiarity with construction processes including pipe threading, ductwork installation, assembly, rigging, machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and press brake operation.
Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication, structural steel components, and ASME codes & standards is highly desirable.
Experience working with safety protocols on construction sites or in manufacturing environments; forklift certification is a plus.
Strong mechanical aptitude combined with excellent hand tool skills and the ability to interpret technical schematics accurately.
