Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation and construction sites to ongoing maintenance of complex electrical systems.
Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage controls.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and installation tasks.
- Conduct diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools to identify faults within electrical circuits and systems.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, local electrical codes, and electrical safety procedures.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring installations, including industrial electrical systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Collaborate with construction teams during renovation or new build projects to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and installations while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical work.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes.
- Experience working on high-voltage electrical wiring and industrial electrical systems.
- Skilled in troubleshooting complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and other essential equipment safely and efficiently.
- Construction site experience with a focus on safety procedures related to electrical work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus for versatile project support.
