About the Role:
As a CBRE Journeyman Electrician, you will be critical to maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our large healthcare campus in Brenham, TX for our first shift.
You will be responsible for performing essential electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance, ensuring a high standard of service for our patients and staff. You will also provide support for general maintenance around the facility as needed.
What You’ll Do:
Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems, including new equipment installations.
Perform routine checks, repairs, and replacements of functional components within electrical and lighting systems, such as valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.
Ensure that all equipment is maintained and operating in a safe and compliant manner.
Review historical maintenance records to develop and implement proactive inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance schedules for a large hospital campus.
Prioritize electrical maintenance while also conducting general maintenance tasks as needed.
Perform general maintenance duties including, but not limited to, replacing ceiling tiles, flooring tiles, painting, patching, and drywalling.
Complete assigned work orders efficiently and effectively.
Travel to local clinics within a mile of the main campus as required to perform duties.
Provide efficient and reliable service to customers.
Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems.
Have a broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. May convince to reach an agreement.
Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations. What You’ll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
Journeyman Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
