About the Role
LK Jordan is seeking an experienced Civil Utility Project Manager to lead sitework and underground utility construction projects. This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of civil projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and execution of utility scopes.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing wet utility systems (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, and fire lines) and be able to interpret civil drawings, utility plans, profiles, and specifications to drive project success.
This position involves a balanced mix of office responsibilities and field presence, supporting multiple active job sites. Responsibilities include coordinating with field crews and subcontractors, overseeing project activities, resolving field issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Travel between job sites may be required based on project needs. The ideal candidate must be able to step in with minimal ramp-up, take ownership of projects, and contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage civil/sitework projects from preconstruction through completion
- Review and interpret civil drawings, utility plans, profiles, and specifications
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, engineers, and inspectors
- Oversee utility installation including water, sewer, storm, and fire systems
- Track material procurement, deliveries, and vendor coordination
- Lead project meetings and maintain communication with stakeholders
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including trenching and excavation
- Coordinate inspections, testing, and final project closeout
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience managing civil/sitework or utility projects
- Hands-on experience with wet utilities (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain, fire lines)
- Strong ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with MS Project and Excel
- Knowledge of grading, surveying, and utility installation processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ground-up commercial, industrial, or development projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, Confined Space, or Trenching/Excavation

Pay: Up to $90,000.00 per year
