Quality Construction is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Texas Licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) to oversee all aspects of our mold remediation division.
This position serves as the primary field supervisor for mold remediation, HVAC duct cleaning, and related construction projects throughout the San Antonio area, primarily on Military Installations, with occasional travel required to other project locations within Texas.
Unlike a traditional office-based project management role, this position is heavily field-oriented and serves as the direct supervisor for company employees and subcontractors performing remediation work. The successful candidate will be responsible for technical compliance, quality control, safety, customer communication, crew leadership, and successful project execution from initial inspection through final clearance.

Essential ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Field Operations
- Manage multiple mold remediation, HVAC duct cleaning, and general construction projects simultaneously.
- Conduct onsite inspections to evaluate project scope, safety concerns, and remediation requirements.
- Develop detailed project scopes, work plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate labor, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and scheduling.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with company quality standards.
- Perform regular jobsite visits to monitor progress and provide technical guidance.
- Maintain daily communication with customers, property managers, consultants, industrial hygienists, and company leadership.
- Resolve field issues and unexpected conditions quickly and professionally.
Mold Remediation Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated Texas Licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) for company and assigned projects.
- Prepare Mold Remediation Work Plans in accordance with the Texas Mold Assessment and Remediation Rules (TMARR).
- Ensure all remediation activities comply with:
- Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) requirements
- Texas Mold Assessment and Remediation Rules
- Applicable EPA regulations
- OSHA standards
- IICRC S520 guidelines (preferred)
- Coordinate with Mold Assessment Consultants (MACs) throughout the remediation process.
- Maintain complete project documentation required by state regulations.
- Verify proper containment, engineering controls, negative air pressure, decontamination chambers, and work practices.
- Ensure proper disposal of regulated waste and contaminated materials.
- Prepare and maintain all required remediation documentation and project records.
Crew Leadership & Training
- Directly supervise remediation crews and subcontractors.
- Train employees on:
- Proper remediation procedures
- PPE requirements
- Containment construction
- HEPA vacuuming
- Cleaning procedures
- Equipment operation
- Safety protocols
- Conduct routine quality inspections throughout each project.
- Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, professionalism, accountability, and customer service.
HVAC Duct Cleaning & Construction Oversight
- Manage residential and commercial HVAC duct cleaning projects.
- Verify proper cleaning procedures and equipment utilization.
- Oversee related demolition, reconstruction, and repair work associated with remediation projects.
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, flooring, drywall, painting, and other specialty subcontractors when required.
- Ensure all completed work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain strict compliance with:
- OSHA regulations
- EPA regulations
- Texas TDLR Mold Remediation requirements
- EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule
- Company safety policies
- Military installation access requirements
- Conduct jobsite safety inspections.
- Ensure proper PPE utilization.
- Verify all required permits and documentation are maintained.
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action planning as necessary.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate project documentation including:
- Daily reports
- Photographs
- Jobsite logs
- Equipment logs
- Moisture readings
- Containment inspections
- Change orders
- Material tracking
- Customer communications
- Prepare project closeout documentation.
- Assist with estimating and project budgeting as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas Licensed Mold Remediation Contractor (MRC) in good standing.
- Minimum 5 years of mold remediation field experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or project management experience.

- Negative air systems
- HEPA filtration
- Moisture mapping
- Structural drying principles
- Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings and scopes of work.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and mobile field reporting software.
- Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully pass criminal background screening required for access to U.S. military installations.Preferred Qualifications
- EPA Certified Renovator (RRP Certification).
- IICRC certifications (AMRT, WRT, ASD, or related).
- Experience with military housing or government contracting.
- Experience managing subcontractors.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and duct cleaning practices.
- Experience with Xactimate or similar estimating software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and elevated areas.
- Ability to wear respirators and other required PPE for extended periods.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting.
Travel Requirements
- Primary work area is Military Installations throughout the San Antonio area.
- Occasional overnight travel throughout Texas may be required based on project needs.
Security Requirements
Because projects are frequently performed on U.S. military installations, the successful candidate must:
- Pass all required criminal background checks.
- Maintain eligibility for installation access.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Comply with all federal installation security requirements.

- Serve as the technical leader of the mold remediation division while helping grow Quality Construction's remediation and environmental services throughout Texas.
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
