Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and a minimum of two years of experience in HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be a self-motivator, with a positive mindset and personality who is dependable, trustworthy, knowledgeable, well groomed, approachable, and is detail oriented who can work sufficiently as an individual and as a team player.
HVAC Service Technician
Join our team as an HVAC Service Technician and apply your technical expertise to install, maintain, diagnose, and repair HVAC/R systems. We are looking for a dependable problem-solver who takes pride in quality work and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose issues involving refrigerant leaks, electrical faults, mechanical failures and control systems.
- Service air-conditioning units, ductwork, piping, pumps, fans, motors, valves, electrical systems, plumbing components, and building automation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, specifications, and HVAC design plans.
- Use diagnostic equipment, hand tools, welding equipment, and specialized tools safely and effectively.
- Weld, braze, build, and assemble HVAC components when required.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Document service work accurately, including repairs, parts used, and system performance.
- Follow EPA refrigerant-handling regulations and all applicable safety and environmental standards.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, refrigeration cycles, electrical diagnostics, and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Strong problem-solving, multitasking, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive, customer-focused attitude.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- EPA refrigerant-handling certification is required.
- HVAC repair licensing and additional certifications in welding or appliance repair are preferred.
- Ability to travel for multiple days during the fall and winter months.
