Overview

The Senior HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and commissioning residential and light commercial HVAC systems throughout North Texas. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, a strong understanding of HVAC electrical and refrigeration systems, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers.

The ideal candidate can work independently, maintain a high first-time fix rate, and represent our company professionally on every service call.

Residential HVAC Service

Diagnose and repair residential air conditioning and heating systems.
Service gas furnaces, electric furnaces, heat pumps, straight-cool systems, package units, and ductless mini-splits.
Perform seasonal maintenance and safety inspections.
Repair refrigerant leaks and replace coils.
Replace compressors, blower motors, condenser fan motors, ECM motors, contactors, capacitors, relays, transformers, and control boards.
Troubleshoot airflow, ductwork, zoning, and thermostat issues.
Commission newly installed systems.

Light Commercial Service

Diagnose and repair rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, package units, and commercial heat pumps.
Troubleshoot economizers, commercial thermostats, and building control interfaces.
Perform preventive maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment.
Complete commercial service documentation and maintenance reports.

Low-voltage control circuits
High-voltage electrical systems
Refrigerant charge issues using superheat and subcooling
TXV and metering device failures
ECM and PSC motor failures
Compressor diagnostics
Defrost controls
Reversing valve operation
Ignition systems
Gas valve operation
Pressure switches
Airflow restrictions
Static pressure problems
Combustion issues
Variable-speed systems
Inverter-driven HVAC equipment

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of residential HVAC service experience.
Minimum 2 years of servicing light commercial equipment.
Experience with residential system replacements and start-ups.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Registered or Certified Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technician, as required by Texas law
Certifications including EPA refrigerant handling certification; additional certifications in HVAC/R or building automation systems are advantageous.
Ability to sell repair and replacement options without pressure.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
