Job Summary
The Electrical Service Manager is based out of the Charlotte, NC office and is responsible for overseeing electrical service operations across both the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC service territories. This role manages all electrical service operations, including maintenance programs, service calls, troubleshooting, equipment replacements, retrofit projects, and customer support. The Electrical Service Manager ensures service work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while maintaining strong customer relationships and high-quality standards.
The Electrical Service Manager oversees Service Technicians, Service Foremen, Apprentices, and support staff while coordinating with clients, vendors, dispatching, and company leadership. This role is responsible for scheduling manpower, managing service operations, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring customer satisfaction across all service projects and maintenance accounts in both markets.
Specific Duties
- Oversee daily electrical service operations across the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC service territories, including scheduling, dispatching, and coordination of service technicians.
- Travel regularly between the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC service locations to provide operational oversight, field support, customer engagement, and leadership.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs, emergency service calls, troubleshooting, and repair work.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project and service execution.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships while serving as the primary point of contact for service-related matters across both service territories.
- Review service proposals, estimates, work orders, and change orders.
- Monitor technician productivity, job progress, and project performance to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, safety standards, and company policies.
- Conduct regular field visits to assess quality, safety, and customer satisfaction at job sites in both the Charlotte and Columbia markets.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of service personnel.
- Assist in growing the service division through customer retention, business development, and identifying new opportunities within both service territories.
- Coordinate material procurement, equipment deliveries, and subcontractor scheduling as needed.
- Oversee documentation, service reports, and record keeping for all service activities.
- Resolve operational challenges and customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in meetings with leadership regarding operational performance, manpower planning, and strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the electrical service team across the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC service operations while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
- Ensure service operations are completed safely, efficiently, and within company expectations across both service territories.
- Maintain positive customer and stakeholder relationships while supporting long-term partnerships throughout both markets.
- Monitor service department financial performance, including labor productivity, profitability, and forecasting.
- Support technician development through mentorship, training, and performance management.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards across all service operations.
- Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, operational improvements, and service growth opportunities.
- Assist with manpower planning and workforce development to support current and future operational needs across both service territories.
- Maintain high standards of communication, organization, and professionalism throughout all service operations.
- Maintain the flexibility to travel regularly between the Charlotte, NC and Columbia, SC service locations as needed to support employees, customers, business operations, and company initiatives.
Electrical Requirements and Qualifications
- Master Electrician certification preferred
- Five or more year’s experience supervising construction multimillion-dollar projects
- Strong leadership skills and a demonstrated history of successful leadership
- Strong attention to detail and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills

Supplemental Pay Types:
- 90-day employment bonus opportunity. Employees become eligible after successfully completing 90 days of employment. Bonus amounts are discretionary and determined by management.
Experience:
- Commercial Electrical: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
