Craftsmen Contractors is hiring a Certified MIG Welder for a commercial project in Cameron, Louisiana. area. This is for an ongoing project at the LNG plant.
Needing a Welder who can MIG weld light-gauge stainless steel.
The work schedule is for day shifts Monday through Friday.
Pay is $35/hour.
Weekly pay by direct deposit.
Job Duties:
- Interpret detailed mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute MIG welding tasks.
- Weld metal brackets, iron, and structural angles.
- Weld all necessary components specified in blueprints.
- Perform all welding, including MIG, at the job site as specified by the supervisor.
- Use a grinder to smooth welds.
- Assemble metal components by welding ductwork, piping, sheet metal structures, or other fabricated parts following blueprints and schematics.
- Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
Job Requirements:
- Must have previous structural MIG welding experience.
- Will need to be certified for welding
- Basic math skills
- Problem Solving / Analytical ability
- Perform calculations
- Ability to communicate both written and oral
- Interpersonal and organizational skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good motor skills and hand-eye coordination for accuracy in welding.
- The job requires clarity of vision, with or without corrective lenses, for inspection and repair.
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence in all work activities.
