Vital Fuel Systems, Inc. is growing, and we're hiring a Controls Electrician to join our team! Our work supports some of the largest technology clients in the world and delivers mission-critical fuel systems that keep essential facilities operating.
This role is ideal for someone with experience working with low-voltage electrical systems, bending conduit, pulling wire, making terminations installing supports and leading a crew in industrial or mission-critical new construction environments.
Travel: Approximately 50-95% travel, varying based on project needs.
What You'll Do
- Install low-voltage electrical systems, raceways, and components for control panels with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), automation systems, and related controls.
- Understand conduit routing with the ability to determine number of conduits, spacing and proper instillations of multi-raceway systems.
- Bend conduit, pull wire, use Mobile Elevated Work Platform, run mini-excavator, skid steers and forklifts, make fiber terminations.
- Assist pipe fitters and welders as needed.
- Follow electrical codes and regulations to ensure safe, compliant installations.
- Use PPE and follow established safety practices to mitigate risks and hazards.
- Ensure systems are properly grounded, insulated, and tested for compliance.
- Document all installations, repairs, inspections, and testing activities accurately.
- Review control drawings, sequences of operation, and system documentation to ensure proper functionality.
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience installing, commercial electrical systems, automation systems, generators, fuel systems, or related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
- Experience working in industrial, power generation, fuel systems, mission-critical, manufacturing, utility, or commercial construction environments preferred.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with project managers, technicians, subcontractors, and customers.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Fluent in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.
- Must pass background checks, drug screens, and motor vehicle screenings.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain secure-site access.
- Valid Real ID driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
- Willing to travel approximately 50-95% based on project needs.
- Willing to complete required certifications, safety training, and continuing education.
