Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrician Helper - Commercial to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems in commercial buildings. Duties
- Support licensed electricians with electrical system installation, including conduit bending, wiring, and fixture placement.
- Assist with reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Handle hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during various construction tasks.
- Help install commercial electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and team members.
- Aid in the interpretation of electrical blueprints and schematics to facilitate precise work on complex systems.
- Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to verify proper operation.
Experience
- Previous experience working as an electrician helper or apprentice in industrial or commercial settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and conduit bending techniques is essential.
- Hands-on experience with electrical wiring, systems installation, and troubleshooting in construction sites is advantageous.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical safety procedures is required.
- Ability to operate power tools and hand tools safely on construction sites.
- Construction site experience involving commercial electrical systems or low/high voltage wiring is a plus.
- Basic understanding of schematics, blueprint reading, frame carpentry, and electrical blueprint interpretation will support your success in this role.
