Power Labor is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman HVAC Sheet Metal Installer to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing sheet metal components for heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, and mechanical systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure that HVAC systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely, contributing to comfortable indoor environments. Duties
- Install sheet metal ductwork, ventilation systems, and HVAC equipment according to schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and building automation system layouts to execute precise installations.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, and related mechanical equipment utilizing hand tools and diagnostic devices such as ohmmeters and electrical testers.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC/R systems including cleaning, adjusting, and replacing components to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics for HVAC systems with a focus on electrical systems troubleshooting and repairs.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to address plumbing issues related to HVAC installations or repairs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, installation logs, and inspection checklists.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED, preferred
- Technical and/or Trade School Training, preferred
- Experience on lifts and running lifts preferred
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- Minimum 2 years commercial duct experience - Assembly, Installation and Repairs
- Ideal candidates must be mechanically inclined and capable of taking direction and needing minimal supervision to accomplish tasks given
- Hired candidates must have proper PPE; boots, hard hat, high-viz shirt, high-viz vest
- Must wear pants daily
- Driver's License and Reliable Transportation
- Must have own tools for HVAC and general tasks, including cordless drill

- Minimal phone usage during work hours Maintains schedule; allotted two 15-minute breaks & standard lunch break
Pay: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour
