We are currently seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team in La Vista, Nebraska. If you are a motivated technician who takes pride in delivering outstanding service and enjoys troubleshooting complex HVAC systems, we'd love to hear from you.
Position Summary
The HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing commercial HVAC equipment while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to completing quality work safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate will have experience servicing a variety of commercial HVAC systems and be comfortable working directly with customers, project managers, and fellow technicians.
Essential Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Service rooftop units, split systems, package units, boilers, chillers, and other commercial HVAC equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
- Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend repair or replacement options.
- Complete service reports, work orders, and required documentation accurately.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs, maintenance recommendations, and project updates.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment.
- EPA Certification required (Universal preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varying weather conditions, rooftops, ladders, confined spaces, and mechanical rooms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman HVAC License preferred (where applicable).
- Experience with commercial controls and building automation systems.
- Experience working on chillers, boilers, refrigeration systems, and rooftop equipment.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
- Union experience is a plus.
