About the role

Granite Mountain Countertops is hiring a stone fabricator to join our crew in Four Corners, MT. We’re the largest and most advanced stone fabrication shop in Montana, and under new ownership we’re investing in our team, our equipment, and the craft itself.

What you’ll be doing

Hand fabrication on natural and engineered stone: gluing miters, dressing edges, resurfacing and repairing damage, checking seams, and quality-controlling finished pieces before they head out the door. Your hand work pairs with output from one of the most capable machine fleets in the region, on residential and commercial projects across Montana.

Day-to-day duties:

Hand fabrication of natural and engineered stone using a pneumatic polisher including: cutting, polishing, resurfacing, leathering, grinding
Operating overhead vacuum lifters to move material safely
Keeping projects moving on time and to spec
Following safety procedures and wearing proper PPE (we provide waterproof aprons and muck boots)

What we’re looking for

Prior stone fabrication experience strongly preferred
Will train the right person. Construction, fabrication, or related trades background is a plus
Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, glues, and shop chemicals
Strong work ethic, takes initiative, solves problems at the bench
Works well solo and as part of a crew
Good communication and organization
Bilingual English/Spanish applicants are welcomed and encouraged

Schedule

Full-time, five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday

Pay

$27.00 – $32.00 per hour depending on experience, with real room to grow
