Duties
- Support in installing and troubleshooting heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and plumbing systems.
- Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks on boilers, air conditioning units, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment
- Help perform field service tasks including appliance repair, property maintenance, and system inspections to ensure optimal operation
- Use tools, such as ohmmeters, for electrical testing and welding equipment for minor repairs or modifications
- Aid in reading HVAC design plans and schematics to accurately execute installation or repair procedures
- Participate in routine maintenance activities on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan
- Support the safe operation of vehicles when transporting tools or parts to job sites
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction practices related to HVAC installation and maintenance
- Experience as a service technician or in HVAC installation is required
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and mechanical systems troubleshooting
- Familiarity with plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and air conditioning systems
- Mechanical knowledge including boiler operation, equipment repair, welding techniques, and appliance servicing
- Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately desired but not required
- Proficiency with field service procedures and the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail in mechanical repairs and maintenance tasks
- Good communication skills for working effectively with team members and clients

Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
