We are inviting a skilled Technician in Structured Cabling and Low-Voltage to become a key member of our Professional Services team. This role involves the precise installation and maintenance of low-voltage cabling systems across various client sites. The ideal candidate should possess a keen attention to detail and a robust understanding of cabling technologies. As a Technician, you will play an essential role in implementing solutions that significantly improve the connectivity and functionality of our clients’ facilities, ensuring their systems operate seamlessly and efficiently.
Salary
- $50,000 to $70,000 (depending on experience)
- Assist in the installation of structured cabling systems, AV equipment, and related technology under the supervision of senior staff.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of low-voltage systems to ensure continuous operation and system integrity.
- Follow detailed schematic diagrams and blueprints during installations and repairs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project progression and adherence to timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards, participating in safety training sessions as required.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage and structured cabling systems.
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications, construction, or related technologies.
- Proficient in using basic hand and power tools and understanding wiring schematics and technical documentation.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions closely.
- Ability to travel extensively (up to 75%), including overnight stays as required by project demands.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications in network cabling, telecommunications, or a related field is a plus.
- Current or the ability to obtain safety certifications such as OSHA 10.
All roles at our company are full-time, non-contractual positions. As part of a dynamic team, each member may occasionally be required to perform a variety of tasks, especially in urgent situations. While specialization in your role is the primary focus, cross-training for overall organizational resilience is also a key objective. Flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities as needed is an integral aspect of every position.
