What This Job Involves -
Provide comprehensive electrical services including continuous monitoring of facility electrical systems. Work with facility managers to handle routine electrical maintenance operations, including procurement of electrical supplies and materials, coordinating with contractors, performing equipment diagnostics and repairs, and assisting with other electrical duties as requested.
What is your day to day?
- Assist Operations Team with tactical planning for electrical maintenance goals and objectives
- Provide facility-specific electrical support including repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of all electrical systems
- Manage and maintain electrical work orders, purchase orders for electrical supplies, and invoice submissions for electrical projects
- Provide support for emergency electrical repairs and system shutdowns as needed and directed
- Assist with the coordination and scheduling of electrical maintenance activities and contractor work
- Provide general overall electrical services including continuous monitoring of power distribution, lighting systems, and emergency backup systems
- Act as an interface with operations team, contractors, and vendors regarding electrical systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Work with energized electrical equipment requiring proper safety protocols
- Work at heights and in confined spaces as required for electrical installations and maintenance
- Use proper PPE for various electrical and maintenance tasks
- Work in commercial building environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and office spaces
- Travel within assigned geographic territory to multiple facility locations
- Handle industry standard electrical tools and equipment regularly
- Work in varying environmental conditions both indoor and outdoor
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years' experience with commercial or industrial electrical maintenance
- Valid Electrician's License
- Knowledge and experience with CMMS, BMS, and Fire Life Safety systems
- Proficiency with typical computer applications
- Hands on skills and knowledge to complete electrical repairs and maintenance on commercial buildings and systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of safe work practices, especially regarding energized work, working at heights, and confined spaces
- Must be proficient at reading electrical blueprints and schematics and have capability of documenting maintenance reports
- Superior customer service skills and safety orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician certification
- Ability to plan and manage electrical projects under time constraints
- Ability to multitask and work independently on second shift without direct supervision
- Proficient in MS Office, and possess strong written, verbal and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and collaborative approach to working with facility teams
