We are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team. This role focuses on the operation of AMADA press brake equipment during the 3:30pm to 12:00am shift. You will be responsible for the full setup and operation process, which includes interpreting blueprints, inputting precise dimensions, selecting appropriate tooling, and verifying parts against tolerance requirements to ensure high-quality production.

Primary Responsibilities

Execute brake press tasks on AMADA machinery by following specific fabrication prints and work order instructions.
Analyze and translate technical schematics with high precision.
Modify and configure tooling setups to ensure all parts meet exact dimensional requirements.
Manage raw materials efficiently to support smooth production workflows.
Review mechanical drawings to ensure all brake operations are conducted safely and accurately.
Calculate bend deductions and allowances to maintain strict dimensional tolerances.
Support team productivity by meeting output quotas while maintaining high cosmetic standards and tolerance levels.
Help maintain a safe working environment for the entire team by strictly following machine guarding and safety protocols.
Conduct thorough in-process inspections to verify dimensional accuracy and update necessary records.
Log production progress directly into the ERP system.
Collaborate with departmental colleagues to foster a secure and organized workspace.
Finalize production documentation and close out orders following the initial setup.
Conduct routine preventative maintenance on your assigned press brake equipment.
Ensure all tasks are completed within designated timelines and according to project specifications.
Report any equipment malfunctions or defective parts to management to facilitate quick resolutions.
Execute all directives provided by your supervisor.
Keep your designated workstation clean and orderly at all times.
Handle additional tasks as requested by management.

Educational Background

Completion of High School or an equivalent credential is mandatory.

Professional Experience

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in precision sheet metal press brake operation.
A minimum of 6 months of prior experience working within a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Required Competencies

Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints related to brake press work.
Expertise in operating AMADA style brake machinery or AMADA ASTRO robotic systems.
Demonstrated ability to operate all machinery in a safe and correct manner.
Familiarity with standard shop tools, including panel saws, table saws, drill presses, and kick presses.
Flexibility to work overtime hours when business needs arise.
Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance and the physical ability to stand or walk throughout the shift.
Physical capability to speak, hear, kneel, bend, and utilize step stools or ladders as needed.
Capacity to lift up to 45 pounds consistently.
Ability to thrive in a standard manufacturing environment.

Additional Qualifications

Experience working within an ISO 9001 certified environment.
