Lead HVAC Installation Technician
At our Arlington-based team, we believe great work speaks for itself. We are looking for a Lead HVAC Installation Technician who takes pride in doing the job right — not rushing through it, not cutting corners, and not relying on upselling to create value.
This role is for a field leader who can run installations with confidence, develop helpers into future installers, and deliver consistent, high-quality results with little to no supervision.
Position Summary
The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for executing residential HVAC installations from start to finish while leading and mentoring assigned helpers. This individual owns the outcome of the job — ensuring systems are installed properly, perform as designed, and reflect the craftsmanship standards our company is known for.
This is a production-driven role centered on quality, efficiency, and accountability in the field.
Core Responsibilities
Lead residential HVAC system installations from arrival to completion
Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining company install standards
Mentor and develop installation helpers through hands-on training and leadership
Ensure installations are completed correctly, safely, and efficiently
Take ownership of jobsite organization, workflow, and final results
Oversee removal and replacement of HVAC equipment
Fabricate and install duct transitions, plenums, drain systems, and related components
Perform system startup and ensure proper operation upon completion
Maintain clean, professional jobsites that reflect respect for the customer’s home
Communicate effectively with management regarding job progress or challenges
Maintain steady production without sacrificing workmanship
Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding job scope, progress, and operating the new system
Answer customer questions in a professional, confident manner
Present a clean, respectful and profesional presence in customer’s homes

Requirements
Proven experience leading residential HVAC installations
Ability to complete installs with little to no supervision
Strong commitment to craftsmanship and doing the job right
Leadership mindset and willingness to mentor helpers
Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Ability to maintain production pace without sacrificing quality
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Ability to lift 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments
Preferred
EPA Certification
Experience mentoring junior installers or helpers
Light commercial experience (15 tons and under) is a plus
Work Environment
This role involves hands-on fieldwork including lifting, climbing, bending, and working in tight or high-temperature environments typical of residential installation work.
