Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using processes such as SAW, MIG, FCAW, and SMAW Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Sets up components for welding according to specifications (e.g., cut material with powered saws to match measurements) Welds components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead) Repairs pipe and other products by welding pieces and filling gaps Repairs the flaws in pipe found by quality control after production in the Pipe Repair Station Maintains equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Cleans inside the pipe before welding, cuts the area of the weld by using a carbon arc and prepares the proper equipment for welding Maintains work area and keeps equipment clean and orderly Other duties as assigned Qualifications: We offer a $2/hr shift differential for night shift teammates Must have Tig and Fitting experience Experience using Lincoln equipment is a plus 2nd Shift Schedule: 5:30 PM to 5:30 AM - 2 openings- Monday through Saturday Shift Differential: TBD English or Spanish language are Acceptable Minimum skill level requirement: Ability to successfully weld in 2G long-seam spray arc position Ability to successfully weld in 3G spray arc position Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Ability to successfully fit/assemble pipe using GMAW process
1st shift - 5:30 AM to 2:30 to 5:30 PM - Monday through Thursday, most Fridays and some Saturdays and maybe a Sundaywhen real busy (Only every other Sunday) 2nd Shift Schedule: 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM to 5:30 AM - Monday through Thursday, most Fridays and some Saturdays and maybe a Sunday when real busy (Only every other Sunday)
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
