Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipefitter to join our construction and manufacturing teams. The Pipefitter will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and technical specifications. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and manufacturing facilities, contributing to essential infrastructure and system installations. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in welding techniques, and a thorough understanding of blueprint interpretation and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install piping systems according to specifications.
- Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and weld pipes using various techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick, TIG, and Soldering.
- Fabricate pipe components and perform pipe fitting tasks to ensure proper alignment and fit within complex systems.
- Install fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, plumbing lines, and pipeline networks following industry standards such as ASME codes and NFPA regulations.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform pipe threading, bending, assembly, and installation tasks on construction sites.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other trades to interpret construction plans accurately and execute tasks efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance on piping systems post-installation to ensure optimal operation.
- Rigging of heavy pipe sections or equipment as required for installation or repair activities.
- Document work progress clearly in accordance with project requirements and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within construction or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and soldering.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings related to piping systems.
- Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, fabrication processes, pipe installation methods, and system assembly.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely, including calipers for precise measurements.
- Experience working on construction sites with knowledge of rigging practices and construction safety protocols.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, sprinkler installations, plumbing practices, and pipeline maintenance is preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and work effectively within team environments across diverse projects.

Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
