About the Position

CommTank is seeking an experienced individual with an active Connecticut P-1 Unlimited Plumbing Contractor License to join our construction and fuel systems team.

We are seeking candidates who hold a CT P-1 license.

Your commercial plumbing experience can transfer directly into fuel-system construction. Skills such as piping, plan reading, permitting, inspections, troubleshooting, and project coordination are highly relevant to the work we perform.

You’ll be able to build on your existing experience while learning petroleum piping, fueling equipment, storage-tank systems, and gas-station construction. We’ll provide the industry-specific training and support needed to help you transition into the role and grow into broader field, project, and leadership responsibilities.

What You'll Do

Depending on your background, responsibilities may include:

Work on commercial fuel-system and gas-station construction projects
Coordinate and oversee licensed plumbing and piping work
Assist with permitting, inspections, and code compliance
Work with project managers, field technicians, subcontractors, and inspectors
Perform or oversee piping installation, repairs, and system upgrades
Troubleshoot plumbing, piping, and mechanical issues
Support underground and aboveground fuel-storage projects
Provide technical guidance to field crews
Assist with project planning and field coordination
Help ensure Connecticut projects are completed safely and in compliance with applicable requirements

Required Qualifications

Active Connecticut P-1 Unlimited Plumbing Contractor License
Valid driver's license
Strong commercial plumbing, construction, or mechanical experience
Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with project managers, customers, inspectors, and field personnel

Petroleum Experience Is Helpful, But Not Required

Candidates coming from commercial plumbing or other construction backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

Starting at $45.00 per hour, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
